Fees and Insurance
Our office accepts most insurance plans that cover acupuncture and has a billing department to process all claims. Here is a list of popular insurance companies that we may be able to bill for office visits (it will depend on your specific policy):
- United HealthCare
- Blue Cross
- Blue Shield Federal PPO Plans (not their other PPO plans)
- TriWest Healthcare Alliance/Veteran’s Affairs
- Great West
- Harrington Health
- Personal Injury Claims (car accidents)
- Worker’s Compensation Claims (injury on the job)
There are more companies, but those listed above are the most common.
We are in-network with TriWest Healthcare but an out-of-network provider for all other plans.
If you have insurance, please submit your insurance information here to have your benefits verified. Or you may call us directly and provide your information over the phone. When you call please be prepared to give your full name, date of birth, the name of your insurance plan and the member ID number on your insurance card. We will get back to you in 1-2 business days with your coverage information.
Acupuncture is a fully-approved medical expense under Health Savings Accounts and Flex-Spending Accounts (thus you can use your HSA/FSA card to pay for treatments).
If you do not have insurance that covers acupuncture, or are under-insured, these are our out-of-pocket rates:
Initial consultation, exam, and acupuncture treatment (first-time patient; 1.5 hours): $188
Initial consultation, exam, and acupuncture for Fertility patients (1.5 hours): $208 (we incur substantially more training for reproductive medicine and thus charge an additional fee)
Follow-up acupuncture treatment (returning patients; 1-1.25 hours): $108
Herbal medicine consultation (20 minutes): $58
Labor Induction Treatment (1 hour): $128
**$8 discount each treatment if paying with cash.
